The diffuser incorporates twenty offset radial vanes with cambered leading edges, reducing both sound power levels and pressure drop to improve acoustic comfort while lowering fan energy consumption. The helical twist at the vane tips enhances downward air penetration during heating and reduces the minimum permissible airflow rate during cooling. Pressure drop remains substantially constant throughout the full range of discharge direction adjustment, ensuring stable HVAC system performance and consistent fan operation regardless of airflow direction.

The HSC-AD diffuser can be flush-mounted within a ceiling or suspended freely without requiring Coandă attachment to the ceiling surface. It is recommended for installation heights between 2.5 and 10 metres.

The diffuser is suitable for supply air temperature differentials of up to -13 K when discharging horizontally in cooling mode and up to +15 K when discharging downwards in heating mode, depending on airflow rate and mounting height. Discharge direction can be adjusted manually, electrically, or automatically using a thermal wax element, eliminating the need for external controls or wiring (see Figure 3).

The HSC-AD features swirl vanes that sit flush with the surrounding diffuser face, providing a clean, streamlined appearance. The diffuser face is available in either a square configuration (up to neck size DN500) or a round configuration (Figures 1 and 2).
