Description

The SMARTEMP® Circular Nozzle, type CNW-AD (Figure 1), provides side-blow discharge from walls or bulkheads. Supply air is discharged as a high-velocity jet with substantial momentum, creating a stable airflow trajectory over exceptionally long throw distances.

The CNW-AD nozzle is housed within a truncated sphere that can be manually swivelled by up to 30° in any direction from its central position, providing a total arc of rotation of up to 60° (Figure 2). Swivel adjustment can be manual, self-acting via a thermostatic element, or electrically powered. The electrically actuated version is typically used to direct the airflow upwards in cooling mode and downwards in heating mode.

When fitted with a self-acting thermostatic element, the nozzle achieves its total arc of rotation by setting one of the following operating ranges: -30° to +10°, -20° to +20°, or -10° to +30°.

An optional swirl element is available to reduce the throw distance. The CNW-AD can provide air throws of up to 50 metres and is suitable for supply-to-room temperature differentials of up to -12 K in cooling mode and +10 K in heating mode.

All visible components are manufactured from powder-coated aluminium.
