DWS SERIES

The DWS type swirl diffuser has been designed to supply cooled or warmed air to a wide range of commercial applications.

A high level of induction is achieved due to the pitch of the radial outlet pattern combined with a high relative free area. Temperature and velocity differences between supplied and room air are therefore quickly reduced.

The high relative free area also makes this diffuser type well suited to extract applications.

A circular array of deflection blades are pressed into a square steel panel. Nominal size is determined by the diameter of the radial outlet pattern and the overall diffuser panel size.

Two sizes of outlet pattern are available:

Nominal size 200 has a radial outlet diameter of 350mm and overall panel sizes of 394, 494 and 594mm square respectively.

Nominal size 315 has a diffuser diameter of 500mm and is available only within a 594mm square panel.

The 594mm square panel is designed to fit directly into 600mm square T-bar suspended ceiling systems.

The DWS type swirl diffuser can be supplied with matching side or top entry plenum boxes, with or without monoblade volume control dampers.

N SERIES

‘N’ Series range of nozzle diffusers are based on a patented nozzle design that allows architects and consultants to have total flexibility when considering their air distribution requirements. The nozzles rotate so that any air pattern can be accommodated and they are available in a wide range of colours to match their surroundings. This brochure provides many examples of the tremendous possibilities this revolutionary product provides . The diffusers have been developed to attain maximum induction and coanda-effect. Thus air from the room is drawn into the diffuser's air streams and cooling is achieved outside of the occupied zone creating comfortable air movement and temperature conditions. Where a VAV system is being designed this requires diffusers that maintain a high induction effect even at reduced air displacement levels. ‘N' Series diffusers provide this flexibility and may be incorporated directly into the standard design.

N Series diffusers comprise a number of circular nozzles that each emit an air stream at approx. 30° to the surface they are mounted in. The nozzles can be individually swivelled through 360° allowing many different distribution patterns to be generated. The patented design of the nozzles prevents the distribution pattern from affecting the pressure drop (ΔP), or noise level. Readjustment of the pattern can therefore be made whenever necessary without affecting any of these parameters.

The DWT Series of swirl diffusers have been designed for the supply of cooled or warmed air to a wide range of commercial applications. A high level of induction is achieved allowing supplied air to mix more thoroughly with room air, closer to the diffuser.

By adjusting the setting of individual radial nozzles different distribution patterns can be created.

A matching extract version is also available without nozzles.

The diffuser comprises a circular array of black plastic supply nozzles fitted within a square steel panel. Nominal size is determined by the number of nozzles and the overall face size of the diffuser.
