Linear Slot Diffusers

MODEL CB

Colman’s Model CB is a high capacity linear slot diffuser suited to a wide variety of applications. The combination of 25mm wide slots and the unique curved design of the air deflecting vanes enables CB to handle significantly more air per linear metre than standard slot diffusers. The advantages of using CB slot diffusers are its use for buildings which require large air change rates and on VAV applications where high turndown ratios are required.

The CB linear slot diffuser is designed to give continuous air diffusion with a pleasing aesthetic appearance. Hairline butt joints held by special alignment strips ensure that continuous, unbroken

runs of active and dummy sections are readily achieved. The standard diffuser comprises one to six slots (maximum 3 slots in each direction) sections complete with curved, black air pattern control blades which are fitted in 300mm lengths to provide maximum flexibility of air patterns and allows for fuller face. Constructed from high quality aluminium extrusion in maximum one piece lengths of 3000mm, the design incorporates keyways for alignment and suspension purposes. End caps are supplied as standard for single piece diffusers and for end sections of continuous runs.

	MODEL CE

Colman’s Model CE is a multi-purpose linear slot diffuser suited to a wide variety of applications. Its simple and costeffective design, with adjustable blades and optional number of slots, means the diffuser will co-ordinate with most building environments, and ensures it can provide an attractive and economic solution to many air distribution requirements.

The CE linear slot diffuser is designed to give continuous air diffusion with a pleasing aesthetic appearance. Hairline butt joints held by special alignment strips ensure that continuous, unbroken runs of active and dummy sections are readily achieved.

The standard diffuser comprises from one to eight slot sections complete with full length air pattern control blades that allow full adjustment from the face. Constructed from high quality aluminium extrusion in maximum one piece lengths of 3000mm, the design incorporates keyways for alignment and suspension purposes. End caps are supplied as standard for single piece diffusers and for end sections of continuous runs. Special profile and angled end caps can be offered.it

MODEL CD

The model CD is a high capacity linear slot diffuser with a curved blade profile specifically designed for applications that require high air volumes with short throws. This makes it particularly suited to VAV systems where it’s ability to turndown to 20% of maximum air volume whilst still maintaining effective air distribution is crucial. The CD diffuser combines excellent performance with a simple, cost effective design to provide an economic solution to a variety of air distribution requirements.

CD linear slot diffuser is designed with no moving parts and is hence tamper proof. It is available in single slot for one way and double slot for two way discharge and has a self supporting hanging method to allow for continuous clip on plenum boxes. The standard diffuser is constructed from high quality aluminium extrusion in maximum one piece lengths of 3000 mm. Continuous lengths are achieved by multiple sections joined by alignment strips giving hairline butt joints. End caps are supplied with single piece diffusers and for end sections of continuous runs. Special profile and angled end caps can be offered. Mitred sections are available as standard.

	HIGH INDUCTION SLOT DIFFUSERS

	Models LD13, LD130, LD14 & LD140

In our High Induction Slot range there are two slot widths 15mm or 26mm and both are available with either a flanged or flangeless frame.

Models LD13 and LD130 have a 15mm slot width, whereas Models LD14 and LD140 have a 26mm slot width. It is important to remember that models LD 13 and LD 14 have a flanged frame whilst the models LD 130 and LD 140 have a flangeless frame.

Each diffuser incorporates an adjustable inner cylindrical deflector, which, by simply swivelling gives a full 360° range of air supply adjustment options, left, right and vertical discharge or a combination of all three from a single diffuser. The cylindrical deflectors also provide air control and shut off if required.

The High Induction Slot diffusers are suitable for mounting heights of 2.5 to 4.0 metres and may be used for heating or cooling applications. A high induction rate and a rapid decrease of temperature difference means these diffusers are ideal for use in most air distribution system designs.

Available in 1, 2, 3 or 4 slot widths, the maximum standard length of diffuser is 2 metres, although individual diffusers can be joined together to form longer sections. Corner sections and angle pieces may also be supplied to maintain a continuous appearance. Purpose designed matching plenum boxes simplifies installation and ensures diffuser characteristics for optimum performance.
